Turn T-Shirts into DIY No-Sew Masks

Posted by on

Have your kids outgrown their Baby Teith tees? Why not turn them into this pseudo face mask that is filtered and gives you *some* protection while braving the supermarket? I felt it was better than nothing today I made a dash for necessities.

My cousin Kirk and his wife Tora over at Hanalei Strings (an amazing music shop in the heart of Hanalei Hawaii) put out this super helpful tutorial on their Instagram. Can you tell which Baby Teith tee I used for mine below?

In their Instagram post, they explain: "Hey everyone, listen up: let’s get everyone making their own mask and let the front line health workers get first dibs on the real ones! If we all wear something when we leave our homes, we’ll surely spread less and be a bit more protected. 🤙🏼" Click the video below to learn how to make your own.

Give this a try! Be sure to give @hanaleistrings a follow on Instagram if you're into BEAUTIFUL guitars and scenery. Stay safe and stay home! Thank you to all of the brave service workers in front of this pandemic. As John Oliver said, "When this is all said and done, we are throwing you the biggest parade this world has ever seen!" or something like that.. It would be the least we could do!
