A little of both! I work PT doing hair (and work for myself!)
How has parenthood changed you? What obstacles do you face as a parent? Any advice you'd like to give to new parents?
It's given life a real focus and so much joy! After 20+ years of it just being my partner and I, there was definitely an adjustment period. Though she fits into our life just perfectly, I do miss attending all my husband's shows and having that selfish time (the good ol' days). My advice is to try and be patient (serenity now!) and enjoy every moment both challenging and not. It really does go so fast. They really do make us better people <3 <3 <3
We'd love to learn more about your interests! Among your friends and family, what are you most known for? What are you obsessed with?
I am the goth/dark-humored/horror movie and just movie lover/music snob. Great at 80's & 90's movie trivia, known for having an opinion, my signature red hair and Bela Lugosi tattoo. I'm also the nurturer, the shoulder to cry on, the ear when you need one and advice giver. All around hairapist ;)
We'd love to learn more about your children! What about them makes you the most proud? What are they obsessing over at the moment? Do they have their own sense of style? If so, where do you think that comes from?
It's amazing how early Mina's personal taste and style really started to reveal itself. Should have known with a little Leo Lioness! We have really enjoyed seeing what she responds to and are over the moon that she's just as obsessed (and opinionated!) about music as we are. She was born to a music mix her Daddy made and doesn't go a day without jamming. She's co-produced many songs with Daddy and when Mama goes to work she spends the time "making cool beats" with him. Makes my heart explode!!! She's also the sweetest, most loving and empathetic child <3 She started letting us know what was "cool" and what was "nuck" by her 2nd birthday. She is definitely influenced by her parent's goth style but mixes it with her own likes. She loves to accessorize (always needs shades and/or a hat). She obsesses over Labyrinth (loves the goblin king!), Monsters Inc & U, Witches and Halloween books, dresses that twirl, cupcakes, music class and making music with Daddy (synthesizer is her fav!). Wonder who she's been hanging out with....LOL ;)
