I am a working parent! I work for Dermalogica doing customized skin treatments.
How has parenthood changed you? What obstacles do you face as a parent? Any advice you'd like to give to new parents?
Becoming a mother changed everything, for the better. Everyone faces their own obstacles with parenting, ours have been more on the medical side with Heston. He was born with persistent pulmonary hypertension in newborns-the doctors never found out why. You've probably never heard of it because it doesn’t happen often-one in a million. Needless to say we almost lost the baby we were never supposed to be able to have. But he is a fighter and here, filling our lives with so much goodness and love. My advice for new parents is never take any single moment for granted with your little one, no matter how tired or how frustrated you may be, cherish that baby because they could be gone just like that.
We'd love to learn more about your interests! Among your friends and family, what are you most known for? What are you obsessed with?
I am known for being the crazy vinyl collector hahah. I love music and searching for an amazing record. I also enjoy thrifting-I’m telling you it’s all about that hunt for me. I love finding something someone else thought was no good anymore. When I’m not busy with Heston I love to read too.
We'd love to learn more about your children! What about them makes you the most proud? What are they obsessing over at the moment? Do they have their own sense of style? If so, where do you think that comes from?
Heston is the love of our lives, he definitely fills our days with a bit of craziness, attitude, and of course cuddles. Heston's will to live and fight to stay alive has made me the most proud, he is the strongest person I know. At the moment he is obsessing over Moana and Trolls, and eating with a big boy spoon haha. Right now he is living under his mommy’s sense of style, whether that be our favorite Baby Teith finds to his classic Beatles shirts, I know he will develop his own sense and I can’t wait!
